My father was Andrew Jackson (Jack) Maxey. He was born May 10, 1918, in the Tremont community of Itawamba County, Mississippi. His father was Calhoun Walker Maxey and his mother was Pernia Jane Webb.

My mother is Annie Marie Carpenter Maxey. She was born on April 21, 1921 on the Small Place in Webster County, Mississippi. Her father was Abner Carpenter and her mother was Mary Matthews.

My mother was born on April 21, 1921, recently celebrated her 86th birthday (see photos).
