Jamaican Remittances
The Jamaican diaspora provided over $3.5 billion U.S. dollars in 2021. Between July 2020 and August 2022, Jamaicans in the diaspora sent more thant $6.4 billion to family and friends. This represents more than 20 percent of the country's Gross Domestic Product.

Jamaica Central Bank data shows that 60 percent of inbound remittances came from the United States in 2021 totalling $2.1 billion.
